Goverment factor interview

17 Nov 2008, I received a letter from JPA (Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam) and called me for a interview for the position of Pegawai Sains (Science officer). When I received this letter, I felt surprise as this application I make it last year, thought that I am no short-listed for the interview at the beginning. The interview was held at Pusat Temuduga JPA which located at Jalan Cenderasari Kuala Lumpur on 3 Dec.

I was kind of confuses, whether wanna go or not for the interview as I felt that I quite my current job. But after discuss with my father and mother, they felt that goverment job was secure and with good benefit and got pension. That I decided why not give it a try? So I start to find out for this job information and also the information about JPA and the ministry of Malaysia (I got tips that the interviewer like to ask about the politic in malaysia and also the ministry).

The day of interview finally come, I departed from my home town to Kuala Lumpur on 2 Dec, 9 am by bus and i reached Kuala Lumpur on 3 pm, huh! What a long journey! I get down at pudu raya then checked in hotel in China Town name Winsin Hotel. It is a budget hotel and it costed 88 for a room.

After a short rest and lunch, I start to find the way to the interview venue. From the map, I know this location is not far from China Town, however when I ask the passer by and the hotel worker, all dont know where was this location. So sad. As I know it was near to butterfly park, so i just walked around the area and finally after 2 hour of finding, I found the place.

So now I know the place already and time to go back to hotel, rest and shopping time. Haha. I saw a guard beside the building and asked for the direction of the nearest way to go back to my hotel. I tried the path and found that it is very near with my hotel and it is just behind city point Kuala Lumpur.

3 Dec 2008, I waked up 6 in the early morning and prepared myself for the interview. I went there in full confident. After about 15 walked, I reached the venue and saw there were many people there already and most of them were malay.

I waited for my turn for the interview. After one hour, my name been call and I walked in the room. The interviewer were 2 indian. As what i expected, they ask more about the politic and most of that I dont know to answer. So sad. They even asked who was the ministry in Kuala Lumpur, how do I know?

After I came out from the room, I felt disappointed, what a disaster!

The result of the interview will come out on 8 January and I hope that there is good new for me.
